Empowering Youth Through Curiosity and Understanding

Becoming a teenager is full of transitions—physically, emotionally, and socially.

At Breland Counselling, we recognize how complex this period can be, and how important it is for youth to have a safe space to be themselves, ask questions, and receive support.

Joy Hiatt and Erin Ruel both specialize in working with teens aged 13 and up and Chelsey Ivanochko specializes in working with children and teens of all ages. They each provide a caring, open-minded and non-judgmental environment where youth can feel heard, supported and empowered to grow.

Therapy sessions are guided by the needs and goals of the teen, empowering them to take ownership of their mental and emotional well-being.

**Parent/Caregiver Intake: Prior to the initial session, parents and caregivers are encouraged to meet with the therapist. This session helps establish rapport, gather valuable insights into family dynamics, set shared goals, and address any concerns. Together, these initial meetings foster a holistic approach to supporting the youth’s well-being within their family and community context.
